1. Get some Jack-o'-lantern inspiration at Pumpkin Nights Denver
What: Halloween would be nothing without carved pumpkins, and what better way to get in the spirit – and get some inspiration along the way – than to journey along a path made up of over 3,000 of them? Pumpkin Nights is bringing its interactive Halloween experience to the Denver metro area for the first time ever - and there are a lot more than just pumpkins to enjoy at this Halloween festival for the whole family.
Where: Adams County Fair and Regional Park Complex, 9755 Henderson Rd. in Brighton, Colo.
When: Now through Nov. 4, from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

2. Learn the stories of the Ghosts that roam the Botanic Gardens
What: Walk through the Gardens after dark while hearing haunting stories of the Gardens' haunted history, staff ghost stories, overnight security super natural encounters and other intriguing history (including access to the Waring House Mansion that is not open to the public - this area is not wheelchair accesible). This event is not recommended for kids under 12 years of age.
Where: Denver Botanic Gardens, 1007 York St.
When: Fridays and Saturdays at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. until Oct. 28

3. Boo at the Zoo
What: The 34th annual Boo At The Zoo offers trick-or-treat stations, creepy crawly animal demonstrations and exciting family-friendly entertainment under the canopy of the beautiful fall foliage of Denver Zoo.
Where: Denver Zoo, 2300 Steele St.
When: Saturday, October 20 and 27; and Sunday, Oct. 21 and 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission: $20 for adults ages 12-64; $17 for seniors ages 65+; $14 for children ages 3-11; Kids 2 and under get in free. Admission for members to Boo at the Zoo is included in your membership.

4. 5280 Dines
What: 5280 Dines, presented by Ratio Wealth Group, is an exclusive culinary experience celebrating 5280 magazine’s 25 Best Restaurants list. Guests will enjoy chef curated tastings from winning restaurants, paired cocktails, photo booths and more. Proceeds benefit the Porter-Billups Leadership Academy at Regis University. Note: The event is cocktail attire.

5. Literary tales of terror come alive at Victorian Horrors at the Molly Brown House
What: Edgar Allan Poe, Mary Shelley, and Bram Stoker rise from the grave yet again to chill us with their tales of terror for Victorian Horrors at the Molly Brown House Museum. The 25th year of Victorian Horrors features six soul-searing tales perfect for literary nerds and fans of the macabre alike!
