DENVER – Good morning! Here’s what you need to know today, Monday, Oct. 23.

1. Celebration of life for CSU senior killed near campus
A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 p.m. at deKoevend Park in Littleton. 22-year-old Savannah McNealy was among those killed in an early Thursday morning shooting near campus.

2. Dr. Ben Carson visits Colorado to talk housing
On Monday, October 23, Dr. Ben Carson, the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will address the Mortgage Bankers Association Annual Convention in Denver, Colorado

3. Bowe Bergdahl could get life in prison
Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who pleaded guilty to desertion and misbehavior before the enemy, will appear before a judge to decide his punishment.

4. Colorado church leaders will speak out against white supremacy
Colorado church will join Indianapolis during a summit to stand up to white supremacy, environmental degradation and other political issues as a matter of faith.

5. Pleasant start of the week, but watch out for snow later on
Temperatures are popping back up to the upper 60s and low 70s at the start of your work week, but a westerly jet stream from the north will eventual make its way to the central plains Thursday and Friday, meaning we could see some snow again!
