UPDATE | The City of Denver has settled with the United Airlines pilot in the wrongful arrest case stemming from a now-dismissed indecent exposure charge.
DENVER — A United Airlines pilot was cited for indecent exposure during a September stay at the Westin Hotel at Denver International Airport.
According to a copy of the complaint obtained by Denver7, Andrew Collins was staying at Westin the morning of Sept. 20 when he allegedly opened the curtains to his 10th story room and stood naked “in full view of the public.” Police say the room where Collins was staying in overlooks the hotel plaza.
In an interview with our partners at The Denver Post, Collins said he didn’t know that he was visible to anyone in the main terminal.
“I was getting ready for a shower and was talking on the phone,” he told the paper. “It was a beautiful morning and I opened the curtains to my window. I couldn’t see the terminal.”
The Denver Post reports that Collins has been suspended from United Airlines pending an investigation. He is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 5.
