DENVER -- As our Colorado grows some are trying hard to hold on to parts of our history.

For example, in 1964, Westminster became the first city in the country to have a self-service gas station. It was called Big Top Convenience Store, named so because of the circus tent-like rooftops.

Fifty-four years later, Regis 66 - a gas station in North Denver - is one of the only metro Denver stations that still runs a full-service shop.

Denver7 photojournalist Brad Bogott tells us the story of Alan Thielen, who is trying to remain a good neighbor with a business that is caught in progress and change.
