DUTIES:Generates revenue by selling commercial time to local accounts, and local agencies. Negotiate spot rates, assemble packages to maximize inventory and pursue new business utilizing vendor development and cross promotional opportunities. Keep complete and accurate records of all account activity, write orders, change contracts, handle pre-emptions, and make good on assigned accounts. Provide ongoing account/ market information to sales management. Coordinates with sales service, traffic, film and business office to facilitate proper processing of paperwork and materials to insure that schedules air properly. Assists in collecting past due accounts. Secures credit information on advertisers. Actively supports the public image of the station by participating in community oriented events. Maintains a full understanding of current rating information, methodology and research available to the station, (ie NSI, NSHI, TV Scan, Scarborough, etc). Maintains positive relationships with buyers/clients in the marketplace servicing and entertaining on an ongoing basis.REQUIREMENTS:Previous Broadcast sales experience required.
