For the rest of the week look for average temperatures for this time of the year with highs in the mid to high 80s and lows in the comfortable 50s. A weak cold front will move in Friday and Saturday bringing only a slight chance for afternoon thunderstorms and cooling temperatures off just a tad. Sunday through the start of your next work week will be dry and warm!

METRO DENVER:

Today: A sunny start with clouds increasing into the afternoon. Calling for highs to reach the high 90s with lows cooling to the 50s.
Thursday: A very nice summer day! Plenty of sunshine warm with temperatures around 90. Lows overnight will drop to the 50s.
Friday: Sunshine to start for the morning commute with skies becoming partly cloudy with a slight chance for an afternoon thunderstorm as we will see a weak cold front move into Colorado. Temperatures still around average in the mid to high 80s with lows in the 50s.

EASTERN PLAINS:

Today: Sunny skies in the morning turning partly cloudy as we head into the afternoon hours. Highs in the upper 80s to low 90, lows in the mid 50s.
Thursday: A great August summer day with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures. High im the high 80s and low 90s with lows cooling into the comfortble 50s.
Friday: Mostly sunny to start with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Highs in the 80s and low 90s, lows in the mid to upper 50s.

MOUNTAINS:


Today: Partly cloudy and warm. Highs in the 70s, lows in the mid 40s.
Thursday: Scattered clouds with a slight chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Highs in the 70s with lows in the 30s and 40s.
Friday: A nice day to start with a few storms possible later in the day. Highs in the 70s, lows in the 40s.

WESTERN SLOPE:

Today: Sunny and hot. Highs in the mid 90s. Lows in the mid 60s.
Thursday: Mostly sunny and continued hot with highs in the 90s and lows in the 60s.
Friday: A few isolated storms possible in the afternoon with the arrival of a weak cold front. Highs in the 80s and 90s, lows in the 50s and 60s.

The next cold front will arrive on Friday into Saturday, with more showers and thunderstorms expected, along with cooler weather.
